It is unbelievable that we are in the second half of 2019 already. The CAWC Jack Human Conservation Week lies just around the corner and we hope that those of you that has not yet registered will do so. The list of speakers and the practical sites promises to very interesting. Hope you enjoy the latest edition of the newsletter.

June 2019 - Issue 75

Dit is alweer Junie en die reën kom so bietjie-bietjie, maar ten spyte van dit is die meeste gewasse al baie mooi aan die groei. Die advertensies vir ons BLWK is ook al verlede maand uit en is weer ingesluit in hieride nuusbrief. Ons hoop en vertrou julle sal inskryf, want die twee dae se programme gaan baie interessant wees. Geniet die nuwe nuusbrief.

We are nearing the middle of the year again. June has arrived and most crops are well established with the little rainfall that has fallen. The adverts for the CAWC week has gone out in the May newsletter and again in this one. We hope that you will be able to attend. We believe that the programmes for the two days will be valuable to all. Enjoy the June newsletter.

May 2019 - Issue 74

Vir die meeste is plantyd al verby en die gewasse steek al kop uit. Die reën val lekker in die Boland terwyl ek hier sit en skryf. Ons hoop is dat dit sommer wyd sal val. Ons vertrou dat julle die afgelope twee nuusbriewe geniet het, al was dit effens laat. Ons is nou weer terug op skedule. Die BLWK program is ook ingesluit om julle ‘n voorsmakie te gee van hieride jaar se lesings en praktiese demonstrasies. Die besprekeings sal binnekort opmaak en dan sal ons die nodige inligting deurgee.

Sowing time has come and gone for the most of us in the cereal production game and the crops are starting to or have emerged. The rain is falling quite nicely here in the Boland while I am writing this piece. We hope that you have enjoyed the last two newsletters. We are back on track with the posting of the newsletters on the website. The CAWC conference week programme is also included in the May newsletter. Please have a look at the programme, which promises to be very informative. Bookings will open soon and we will send out the necessary info soon.

April 2019 - Issue 73

Planttyd het begin of dit nou in droë grond of lekker klam is. In die suidkaap is daar al heelwat hawer wat die lig gesien het en selfs n dekgewas hier en daar. Ons bid dat die planttyd goed sal verloop en dat die gewasse sommer spoggerig sal lyk vanjaar. Ons sal binnekort ook die BLWK konferensie in Augustus vir julle deurgee. Geniet die nuwe nuusbrief.

Sowing time has started all over. Either dry or wet. In the southern Cape one can already see some oat fields that have emerged, as well as a cover crop or two. We pray that the sowing time will be smooth and that all the crops will be a joy to behold this season. The programme for the CAWC conference in August will also be made available soon.
