Voorwoord/Preface

Hallo almal,

Hello everyone,

We trust that you had a whale of a time during this past Christmas season and that everyone is well rested and ready for the year ahead. Last season’s field crop harvest went well in most cases and the prices were excellent. The harvest took a little longer than usually in the Southern Cape because of the continuous rain in the area. However, even though that was the case, a new record canola harvest was received, and we are grateful and excited at the same time! We truly trust that the coming season will be excellent and that commodity prices will stay where they are. Having said that, we are rather worried about the cost of fertiliser, but this might be a good opportunity to think carefully about our fertilising and crop rotation systems. Enjoy the first issue of our newsletter in 2022.

Greetings from our house to yours.
