June 2017 – Issue 56

Hi Everybody

The rain in the Swartland and Boland region came with a bang earlier this month. Although widespread rain has fallen in the province some areas are still very dry. Tygerhoek experienced its driest autumn in 15 years. It is also very dry at the Riversdale trial site and germination has been patchy thus far. Langgewens looks picture perfect with excellent germination following dry planting in May. We hope that the rest of the season brings adequate rain all over the province.
